CABIN HISTORY
- Carr Creek Cabin is the new name for a building with a history all
it's own. It was originally Foster General Store in Trinity
Center. Built in 1927 it was moved up from what is now the lake
bottom when Trinity Center was relocated in the 60's. In 1968
Harold Shaffer and Frank Schumann purchased Carrville from Cecil Carr.
The old Carrville Mercantile Store was torn down and the Foster Store
was moved onto the spot where the original store stood. It was
operated on and off as a store and at one point was even used for a
school.
Though now fully renovated, it still has the look and feel of
the old store.
